1992: Romedia Foundation is established.

1994 – 1999: Summer courses are organized for Roma youths.

1997 – 2005: Historia Romani, a six-episode documentary series on the history of the Roma is produced.

2004: The publication of the book Pharrajimos, A romák sorsa a nácizmus idején [Pharrajimos: The Fate of the Roma During the Holocaust], edited by János Bársony and Ágnes Daróczi (Budapest, L’Harmattan).

2006: The establishment of the Roma Holocaust Memorial in Nehru park, Budapest, in cooperation with the Municipality of Budapest, the Ministry of Equal Chances, the Municipality of the 9th District of Budapest, Romaversitas Foundation and Romani Civil Rights Foundation.

2007 – 2011: Mundi Romani – the World through Roma Eyes – a 42-episode television documentary series, shot in 28 countries, directed by Katalin Bársony, made in coproduction with Duna Television.

2008: The publication of the book Pharrajimos: The Fate of the Roma During the Holocaust, edited by János Bársony and Ágnes Daróczi (New York: Idebate Press, 2008).

2008: Nomination for the Best News Documentary at the 48th Monte Carlo Television Festival, Monte Carlo, Monaco, for the Mundi Romani episode “Trapped – the Forgotten Story of the Mitrovica Roma” (2008).
2009: “I’m a Roma Woman,” a video campaign featuring messages from Roma activists sharing their experiences as Roma women, is released.

2009: Nomination in the Best Reportage and Current Affairs category at the 22nd International Festival of Audiovisual Programs (FIPA), Biarritz, France for the Mundi Romani episode “Trapped – the Forgotten Story of the Mitrovica Roma” (2008).

2011: Uprooted – Children’s Perspectives on Europe’s Repatriation Policies. Documentary, dir. Katalin Bársony, nominated for the Child and Family Award at the 8th Al-Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival, Doha, Qatar in 2012.

2012: Requiem for Auschwitz – as part of a series of cultural events in Europe, Romedia Foundation organized a concert by the Sinti-Roma Chamber Orchestra at the Palace of Arts, Budapest, an art exhibition of works by Ceija Stojka and Otto Pankok at the French Institute, Budapest and a film festival on the historical memory of genocides in the 20th century, organized in Budapest, Pécs and Szeged. The events were supplemented by the digital exhibition “The Forgotten Genocide”.

2013: Auschwitz Requiem. Documentary, dir. Krisróf Asbót.

2013: BUVERO – Media Camp for Romani Women. In its first year, the camp was implemented in Dunabogdány, Hungary; Berlin, Germany and Becej, Serbia.

2013: The media art installation “Talking Circle – Repeat After Me” is presented at the Cineromani – Empowering Roma Filmmakers  in Berlin, Germany.

2014: BUVERO – Media Camp for Romani Women. In its second year, the camp was organized in Dunavarsány, Hungary.

2014: BuveroEXPO – a Contemporary Romani Video Art, Media Installation and Audiovisual Performance. A two-day public event in Berlin, including an art exhibition at Gallery Kai Dikhas and a stage performance, completed with a set of art installations, at TAK Theatre.

2015: The photo campaign “Take Your Blindfold Off, Dear Europe!” showcases pictures of individuals taking off a blindfold, encouraging fellow Europeans to engage in a deeper understanding of Romani people.

2015: BUVERO – Media Camp for Romani Women. In its third year, the camp was held in Kumanovo, Macedonia and Nagykőrös, Hungary. Since the start of the program, Romedia Foundation and its local partners provided training in videomaking and journalism for 84 young Roma women in four countries.
