It is the living proof of the power of culture over discrimination and exclusion.
REQUIEM DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL
The Requiem Documentary Film Festival was much more than documenting and filming tearful stories. It was a real film experience offered by the best international documentary filmmakers who showed us how to conjure real cinema through interviews, staged situations, sound recordings, and archived film rolls.
OTTO PANKOK AND CEIJA STOJKA EXHIBITION
By presenting the works of the German expressionist artist Otto Pankok and the Holocaust survivor Ceija Stojka we commemorate the tragedy of the Roma murdered in concentration camps and the Holocaust. By recalling the pain we commemorate the victims of genocides still existing nowadays. It was the first time that the Hungarian audience could see the works of the two artists in November 2012, Budapest. The works of art (paintings, graphics, sculptures), collected from numerous European museums and private collections, were presented in the exhibition room of the French Institute.
